Rate Review
November 13, 2025
In 2021 the Arkansas Legislature passed Act 605 of 2021 which tasked retail water providers with additional responsibilities in managing and operating thier water systems. This Act was then amended by the Arkansas Legislature in 2023. The law is now Act 545 of 2023. Oversight of Retail Water Provider responsibilities remain with the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission (ANRC).
One of the primary requirements of this Act is that each provider shall obtain an independent rate study to be performed by a provider approved by the ANRC.
Lake Catherine Waterworks and Sewer Facilities Board dba Riviera Utilities has applied for the rate study as required by the Act and is waiting on the final recommendation for a new rate structure.
After review and approval by our Board of Directors, we will be implementing the new rate structure in the near future. A letter detailing the new rates will be mailed to all metered customers before the new rates are implemented.
Thank You
